Second to last day

Today made staying the extra time totally worth it! Kathaumixw was so awesome. There were choirs from like 15 different countries, including 3 from the USA!  Along with us and the Powell River choir, 4 other choirs sang, all in different languages. It was grand.
This was the "Parade of countries".  This, the opening Gala,
took place in the hockey arena.  They got rid of the ice and
turned it into the "great hall". There were over a thousand singers
and an orchestra and every seat in the bleachers were full + the entire
floor of the arena was jam packed with people.  It was pretty amazing
Can't see it very well, but this is the pipe band!  They
are what all the countries walked in to.  It was so cool.
Bagpipes always are what make a parade awesome
The elders!  They were ushering and were the ones
that so kindly took the pictures for us.  The one on the
right has been out for 2 months, is from Bountiful
and graduated from WX! Small world I know
Maybe you know him Kelli/Kerri?

Anyway, there you have it.  It was really awesome, there was even an African choir with the drums and everything it was awesome.  Now it's just one more concert today and then back home for me.  Wow what an experience! Definitely one I will never forget.
We played Pomp and Circumstance, O Canada, The Kathaumixw anthem, and a Requiem with soloists from Canada and Sweden! It was really good concert
